Reading Pane contents very narrow if there are images

The contents of the reading pane is very narrow if there are images to display. it only takes up the middle third of the pane. There does not seem to be a way of altering it except the using Zoom. The zoom says it is at 100% I have to change it to 300% to get the contents to fill the pane. This only on a per email basis.

If there are no images the contents fill the pane.

I am using Office 365 on Windows 10 64 bit.

Is there a setting that I can alter?

Hello Jim,

This is normal behavior for Outlook, it does not retain zoom adjustments. The only option you have is to create a macro that runs at launch or to develop an add-In for zoom control. See Outlook 2010: set default zoom level for reading messages for more information.

Note, the forum is for developers. I'd suggest asking non-programming questions on the Outlook IT Pro Discussions or Microsoft Community forums instead.

Hi,

I've seen this issue in some threads recently, and now want to see a sample of this kind of emails.

Please send the email to our email address:

ibsofc@microsoft.com

It's better to send the email as an attachment in your email, so that you can also add the url of this thread for easy tracking.

Hi,

I received your email.

But could you please provide the sample as an attachment? As mentioned in my previous post.

Save the email as a .msg file, then attach it into the outgoing email.

Moreover, please check the email on the web based mail/OWA, does it display correct there?
