ReInstall .NetFrameWork on MOSS 2007
Dear Friends I have Moss 2007 set up in Windows server 2003 R2 sever with .net 3.5 installed in it. Due to some Build Issues in Some Visual Studio Solution ,we have to reinstall .Net 3.5 framework. But my concern is the effect of reinstallation of .netframework 3.5 on Moss 2007. 1) Will my Moss 2007 set up work as usual or not ? 2) if any setup issues occur in between how should i roll back to Previous set up ? require your inputs and advice. Thanks and regards R Prashanth Kumar

You shouldn't have any issues, but if this is a production machine then you should be aware of downtime and try to limit this as much as possible. Do you have more than 1 MOSS server, maybe you can drop this one from the farm while you work on the re-installation. If you have a UAT or test environment, you can carry out the procedure to ensure you know what to expect, also make sure you have a good backup just in case and follow any procedures already outlined at your company for working on production machines (i.e change control, out of hours etc).Paul Turner http://redmanta.co.uk/blog Twitter: @RedMantaUK MCTS:WSS,MOSS,2010 MCITP:2010.
