Range Charts - Multiple ranges of same series/category graphed on the same line
I'm fairly certain this isn't possible in the current SSRS 2008 (not sure about R2?), but I'll describe what I'm after and see if there are any known workarounds:Basically, I want to plot data along a timeline with multiple data points for the same series. So let's say we have an event that can happen over time, Event1. My range axis will be time. What I'd like to do is represent the portions of time that a particular event took place, but on the same line. So Event1 can occur from '4/1/2010 12:00' to '4/2/2010 6:00' and again from '4/4/2010 18:00' to 4/5/2010 4:00'. Currently I can use the range to display those two instances of Event1 on different lines in the range chart, but ideally I would like to display them on the same line since the instance level detail isn't really too important beyond it's duration. The reason is that I can't be certain the number of instances will be small throughout the scope of the timeline and if there are say, 10+ instances of the same event it's going to look atrocious.Again, not sure if this is a pie-in-the-sky type question, but thought I'd see if anyone has a potential workaround or if I'm just being particularly dense in looking at the chart options and properties. Thanks,Jeremy

Hello, I'm looking for a solution to exactly the same problem - did you find anything? Cheers, Fran

Found it: CustomAttributes: DrawSidebySide = False. Would post helpful link to Narayana Swamy Palla's Blog Range Bar Chart (Gantt Chart) using SSRS 2008 But the site won't let me.
