Random Access Denied Messages / Logging Question
Some users are getting random access denied messages. They will be working in a site, click on a link, and get access denied. Come back a couple minutes later and everything will be fine. Is it possible to fine tune logging to capture these access denied messages? Thanks for taking the time.

Glenn- Logging can always be turned up - of course that means more lines you will have to parse through. Are you by chance using more than one WEB Front End Server? Curious if one of those is having issues communicating w/ AD. Jeff DeVerter

Hi, Could you please tell me is the site a subsite that uses unique permission? If so, we need to ensure the users of the subsite have access to this Master Page gallery. One option is to give them permissions on the site by adding them under People and Groups. The other option is to give them permissions just on the Master Pages. To give them permissions just on the master pages, you may do this by browsing to your subsite, then go to Site Actions->Site Settings->Master Pages and give them permissions on this document library. If it is not the issue, please check is there any other error logged in ULS logs located in “%COMMONPROGRAMFILES%\Microsoft Shared\Web server extensions\12\LOGS” and application event viewer? Hope it helps.Xue-Mei Chang
