Random "An unexpected error has occured" messages
On a WSS V3 farm in our company, we get occasional "An unexpected error has occured" messages when we click on links on our SharePoint pages to other SharePoint pages on the same farm. If we do a refresh or hit F5, the page loads correctly. Seems that this isn't a SharePoint problem so much as maybe a communication issue. Anyone else see this and find its cause?

I have the same issue on our farm and the only way I could get rid of this was by deleting and recreating the document library. Not avery good solution though? Anyone out there with a solution please respond.

Hi Lalewicz, What site did you access when you encounter this error? SharePoint central administration site or not? Try to open this link by directly input the URL in Internet Explorer address bar, what is the result. What version is your WSS servers? How many WSS servers do you have? For example, how many WFEs? If you don’t install SP1, please install WSS 3.0 SP1 and then check the effect. If that can’t fix your issue, please reproduce the issue on the customer box. Get the last few ULS Logs and post the error information into the forum for further analyze. For more information about how to configure ULS logging, please refer to the following article: Configure diagnostic logging settings http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262714.aspx Hope this helps.
