RS 2005 Layout Tab Question
I wrote a RS 2005 report which is a Stored Procedure (Command Type = StoredProcedure) where the Data Tab consists of just the name of the stored procedure to be called. The Layout tab has no report layout defined. Do I need to define some sort of basic layout prior to deploying my report to a production environment menu? Thanks in advance for your repsonse(s) Dan Curtis

Hi Dan, You don't need to define the layout to deploy the report, however, if you deploy the report without any layout, you won't see any data when viewing the report. Report Manager will simply display a blank page. Hope this helps, feel free to ask any further questions.

Agreed with Dan

Okay, I deployed to production and everything seems to be running smoothly without and 'Report Layout' defined. The end user should not see the results of my SP retreival process (and they don't) even though I have a select * from (table name) as the last command. It's all good and thanks again for your input. Sorry about the late reply, a little crazy around here with FY year end.Dan Curtis
