RSS feed pubdate with last modified date
Hello everyone! I've been trying to modify the pubdate field in the rss feed for a WSS 3.0 document list to show the last modified date or a date that can be manipulated by me but haven't been able to find out. Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Hi Claudio, Do you want to display the modified column is listfeed.aspx page? If so, please go to list settings page > RSS settings > Select the Modified column and the other columns you need to visible it in listfeed.aspx page to visible under Columns section > Click OK. Let me know if I misunderstand you. Thanks Emir for your reply, but no, that was not what I was trying to do. When I create a new blog post, sometimes it's only a draft and will need to be modified. I can change the date that appears on the web site as published but the pubdate field that appears on the rss feed is the created date, as you can see bellow.
What I wanted was to generate the rss feed with the published date and note the created date in the pubfield. Thanks!

Hello, See if the information in below third-party blog can help. Please note, I havent tested this for SP2007, you may have to write some code for that. http://www.sharemuch.com/2010/06/16/programatically-choose-columns-to-display-in-rss-view-of-sharepoint-2010-lists/Please remember to click 'Mark as Answer' on the post that helps you or click 'Unmark as Answer' if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. Regards, Nishant Shah Microsoft Online Community Support

Thank you Nishant but that was not what I was expecting algo. What the blog post suggest can also be achieved by checking the corresponding check boxes in the list RSS settings configuration. But by checking this options what I get is:
...

Body[Post Body]

Modified: 03-07-2012 17:53

Published: 03-07-2012 18:00

Wich actually gives me the date that I was loking for but I was trying to use the correct RSS feed elements to ensure that every RSS reader would show the correct published date. If I have to write code to do this it won't be a problem. Can you point me in some direction on how can I achieve this? Thank you all!

Well that's what the last line in that blog refers to (...what your RSS feed displays). If you're looking for code sample, please feel free to post a request in SharePoint - Development and Programming (pre-SharePoint 2010) - http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointdevelopment/threadsPlease remember to click 'Mark as Answer' on the post that helps you or click 'Unmark as Answer' if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
