Using Report Builder 2008 (latest version) I create a very simple report that contains just a couple of worlds of the NON-ENGLISH text. Running this report and then exporting to PDF generates, at first glance a valid PDF file viewable in Acrobat reader. Then I try to perform a simple search inside PDF by coping a text and pasting it to the reader’s search text-box. A text pasted into the search box is unreadable (unreadable characters like ) in spite of it appears well in the PDF (and recognized as a text). The same effect exists using ReportViewer.LocalReport.Render method to produce PDF from RDL programmatically. We use a latest version of ReportViewer class available for download. Please, advise.
