R2 vs R3
Does R3 contain the features of R2 ? Or do I need to install both R2 and R3 to be able to use the features in R2 and R3 ?

According to the supported statement R3 will install the new site system roles introduced in R2. "There are no new site systems introduced in Configuration Manager 2007 R3, but when Configuration Manager 2007 R3 is installed on Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 without Configuration Manager 2007 R2, the Configuration Manager 2007 R2 features (Distribution Point for Application Virtualization, Reporting Services point, and Client Status Reporting Host System) are installed. For more information about the site system operating system requirements for Configuration Manager 2007 R2 feature-specific site system role installation, see" For more information see: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff977062.aspx Regards, Jörgen ---------------------------------------------------- visit my System center blog at www.ccmexec.com
