I have a picture library and a multi line text field. I'm going to Quick Edit view, select a few cells of the same column, but not consecutive rows and I'm trying to paste a text. I get the error "That command cannot be used on multiple selections". Could you please help me?

have done a test in my SharePoint 2013 and I can reproduce your issue.

Per my test, the issue exists in other libraries too.

I suggest you paste a text  in a few cells of the same column in consecutive rows.

thank you for your answer. In consecutive cells it is ok because I can paste in the first one and then "drag" the value to the other cells. My problem is when I want to paste a text in cells that I select with the mouse and are not consecutive.

It is by designer that when we attempt to copy or paste nonadjacent cell selections,  we receive the warning messages.

There is no OOTB method to achieve it.
