Questions about reportBuilder
Hi ! We have made a webApplication that use ReportServer. Some of our client would like to be able to make some basic report. They can't use Visual Studio so i thought that reportBuilder will be a good idea.I've tried to create a Model for them but it doesn't work. I have followed the instruction on this page:http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-US/library/ms345313.aspxI have created my datasource. When i click on Generate and put the name for the model i click on OK and then i always got this error:(rsModelGenerationError)
A relation already exists for these
child columns.Did i forget something to do ?Also i would like to know how to do to install ReportBuilder on a Client computer. Those client already have a server with ReportServer running. Is it possible to install on some of their computer ReportBuilder and connect them to their server to allow them to create reports ? If it's possible where can i find just the software for just reportBuilder. Is it on the Sql Server cd ?Finally, is there a website with tutorial that explain how to use the reportBuilder ?Thanks a lot !

Anyone ?We have a presentation next week to our client and we need ReportBuilder to work. I juste need to know what is the cause of this error: rsModelGenerationError. Each time i created a new datasource then tried to generate a model i got this error. Did i need to to something else before creating a model ?Thanks

Yeah i've resolved this. When you want to create a Model the best way to do it is using Visual Studio and not ReportManager. In visual Studio go to File>New>Project. In left select Business Intelligences project. Then Select Report Model projet. After this you will have to create your datasource, view and model. then build them and deployed them. Everything works fine this way for me!

Hi Sianspheric,
I don't have Visual Studio installed here, should I use the Visual Studio 2005, since my SQL version is also 2005?
Thanks in advance!
