No, Min. requirement is SQL 2005 SP2 and I always recommend using SQL 2008. SQL 2008 R2 is not yet officially supported.Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/members/Agerlund/default.aspx | The Danish community for System Center products

SQL Express is not supported for hosting the ConfigMgr site DB http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb694113.aspx And as already Kent said, you should use SQL 2005 SP2/SP3 or SQL 2008.Bechir Gharbi. Hi, SQL express is not supported, see the table below: SQL Server Site Database Configurations When installing Configuration Manager 2007 SP2, the site database can be installed on either the default instance or a named instance of a supported SQL Server version installation. The instance that is used to host the site database can also be configured as a SQL Server failover cluster instance in an active/passive cluster, or multiple instance, configuration. The following table describes the versions of SQL Server supported to host the Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 site database. SQL Server Version Edition Service Pack System Architecture SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition SP2 or SP3 x86 or x64 SQL Server 2008 Standard or Enterprise Without service pack or with SP1 x86 or x64 For more details, see this article: Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 Supported Configurations http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee344146.aspx

It should also be noted that SQL Express still has a db size limit. The SCCM db will grow beyond that limit very quickly.Rod Trent http://www.myITforum.com System Center community
