Query SCCM database for a MS hotfix

Hi,

I like to query the SCCM client if a certain MS hotfix is installed. We do not use software update. We apply our MS updates using WSUS.

I understand I would need SCCM client to first collect the information from the client and thereafter I could query the SCCM database.

How do I best configure SCCM to collect the information? Using RegToMOF?

Thanks,

Edy

Well, that's the first thing you should change: http://ccmexec.com/2012/08/top-11-reasons-why-you-should-use-configmgr-2012-for-managing-software-updates/

To answer your question directly though, simply add Win32_QuickFixEngineering to your hardware inventory in your applicable client settings package(s) starting with the default client settings. No need or reason to use regkey2mof for this.
