Pushing vmware view client through SCCM 2007
I'm trying to push the view 4.5 client to some machines using SCCM 2007. I have 2 packages set up and advertised, one for x86 and one for x64. I'm using a .bat file to kick off the install, which is below. When I test installing both packages with the script, both install just fine. When I advertise the program through SCCM I keep getting an error on every single install, which is also below. I can't wrap my head around why the install only fails when being pushed. Any ideas? VMware-viewclient-x86_64-4.5.0-353760.exe /a /s /v /qn DESKTOP_SHORTCUT=1 VDM_SERVER="server" REBOOT=Reallysupress The program for advertisement "DSC20142" failed ("DSC0009D" - "VMware View x64"). A failure exit code of 1603 was returned. User context: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Possible cause: Systems Management Server (SMS) determines status for each program it executes. If SMS cannot find or correlate any installation status Management Information Format (MIF) files for the program, it uses the program's exit code to determine status. An exit code of 1603 is considered a failure. Solution: For more information on the exit code, refer to the documentation for the program you are distributing.

1603 is a generic error. Check the msi log in the temp directory. John Marcum | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum/|
