Push_installer.log
This week on one of my lab site servers I found 4 push_installer log files on my desktop. They look like files generated from a third-party package installation process. I'm not sure how these log files were generated or why they are on my desktop. I suspected it was related to a Run Advertised Program window that showed up, but I'm not sure now after reading their contents. Can someone explain push_installer and/or when the Run Advertised Program window appears. Regards, Karl

never heard of push_installer.log. Sounds like someone advertised a package to your machine. Open up C:\Windows\System32\ccm\execmgr.log and look for what happened about the time you saw that. John Marcum | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum/|

There is no such log file used in ConfigMgr. For software deployment you shal monitor activity in the exemgr.log file on the client.Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund

The two problems were disjoint. Software was advertised to the machine and the third party software created the log file. Thanks, Karl

Hi A small search only brings back as a result Storagecraft Shadowprotect push installation (so no Sccm involved if this is the case) Check if your company uses this product. brgds bruno
