Push Batch File with SCCM
We are going to be deploying SCCM this summer. I was wondering if you can assign batch files to be ran on machines that have the SCCM client on them. Currently we are in an Active Directory environment and when we need to update settings on the client machines we have to ask people to restart to get the login scripts to run. We were hoping that with SCCM, we can create a task or something with a batch fle that we can select the computers or a group of computers and force the batch file to run immediately or at least on the next round of SCCM communication.

To add an example to Torsten's answer, here's a blog post that talks about a specific aspect of Software Distribution using ConfigMgr and has examples of using batch files as well as exectuables and VBScripts: http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys/archive/2009/08/31/current-directory-in-configmgr-programs.aspx.Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/jsandys/default.aspx | Twitter @JasonSandys

Yes, you can create an advertisement with the batch file that you want to execute, and target the ad to a group of machines (a collection) that will receive and run it. Thanks,Minh.Minh
