Public SharePoint RSS Feeds
Is there anyway of setting RSS feeds in SharePoint for public access, not requiring a username and password, but rather authenticating the user by a hashkey or something of the like? I am trying to find a way of allowing an app (such as Google Reader) to view SharePoint feeds but am getting nowhere with it. Many thanks in advance.

I am not sure if this will work since we do not allow public access, but:- Go into Central Admin, Application Management, Authentication providers- Click on the Zone that your public users will access- Check the box "Enable anonymous access". (This only allows admins of sites to turn on anonymous access, it does not turn it on for the entire server.)- Go to the site containing the feed you want to allow public access- Go to Site Actions/Site Settings- Go to Advanced Permissions- Drop down the Settings menu and choose Anonymous Access- Choose Lists and libraries, click OK- Go to the list you want to give public RSS access- Drop down the Settings menu and choose List Settings- Click on Permissions for this list- Drop down the Settings menu and choose Anonymous Access- Check View Items and click OKSee if that does it.
