Provisioning user mailbox with exchange 2010
hello, i have recently upgraded Exchange 2007 to exchange 2010 in organisation, i found technet link how to provision FIM2010 to exchange 2010. according to the link i need to select Rule Extention name : GALSync.dll but since i had intalled Exchange 2010 management tool on to the server after Windows 2008 SP2, i can not make these changes. Please let me know how can i enable it, or is there any other way i can provision users to Exchange 2010. Also please let me know what rights would be required to FIM Service account to Create mailbox in Exchange . Thanks in advance.Cheers, Mohit Goyal

If you have FIM 2010, all you need to provision mailboxes for regular users is: An AD MA with the "provision for" dropdown configured with exchange 2010 and the http://casserver/powershell url You do not need to install the Exchange 2010 management tools on the FIM server Your AD MA service account will need: exchange recipient administration permissions (or something like that) + modify/create/delete users on your OU's containing your users + replicate directory changes on the domain dn The galsync.dll you are refering too would be for a GAL Sync MA. But for regular user mailbox provisioning to one domain/forest you do not need GAL sync.
