Prompted for credentials when saving an Office document
One of our users is having a strange issue which I am able to replicate but unable to get to the bottom of why. The following is the hierarchy of the document library and folders.Doc Lib <- NO PERMISSIONS----Folder 1 <- NO PERMISSIONS-------Folder 2 <- CONTRIBUTE PERMISSIONSWhen they save a document (Word, Excel, etc) to Folder 2, they get prompted for their credentials, if they enter them 3 times they get the 401 page. If they click cancel, the document is still saved. They can then open the document fine with no prompting for credentials, this only happens when they try to save the document.The only difference between what they experience and what I experience is that after entering the credentials 3 times, they get the 401 page, I get a dialog box appearing very briefly stating "Verifying properties...". When I then try and close the document, it asks me to check it in. If I try to check it in, I get an error that states "Cannot perform this operation. The file is no longer checked out or has been deleted."I've ran Fiddler whilst performing this and it's only returning HTTP 200's from the site. The domain is part of the local intranet zone and everything works fine everywhere else. Is there a particular issue with folders?
