Hi All,

How can i configure my printer management that whenever my users install the drivers, it will prompt for Admin credentials?
Except for GPO what else can i do.

Thanks!

What version of Windows?

Are these for local printers or a connection to a shared printer?

Are the print drivers package aware?

Add the column in PrintManagement under Drivers (right click, View, Add/remove Columns)  to view if it is Packaged.  True or False.  If False find out if the vendor has a Package aware driver for your use.   If they do not you will have to manage the Group Policy setting and configure Computer/ Admin templates / Printers / Point and Print restrictions policy.  Configure it so the clients can install without getting admin prompts.  If the driver will not, then you will need to find a compatible driver that will install without requiring admin privilege .
