Hi Mahesh, You could use the WUSA.exe that comes with Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 2008. You could use the command line: wusa.exe hotfix.msu /quiet /norestart For more on WUSA.exe refer to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934307 Also, take a look at the article that explain how to distribute the file: http://blogs.msdn.com/steverac/archive/2009/01/17/how-to-install-sccm-patches-manually-on-vista-server-2008.aspx Regards, Madan

Hi Mahesh, It is same as distributing any other executable file. You could use the normal software distribution feature of SCCM and deploy this. Please check the following like on how to deploy a software using SCCM(ofcourse this is not specific to the hotfix). http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/499-how-can-i-deploy-an-application-in-sccm-2007-sp1/ Regards, Madan

Hi All, I followed this below steps · Create a package with source files, pointing to a directory containing the MSU. · Add a program to run " wusa.exe filename.msu /quiet". · Distribute to distribution points. · Create a collection with the machines. · Advertise the package. But in client machine its not installing automatically. We need to run manually. Please suggest. Regards Mahesh Gowda S

You have to add a mandatory assignment for the advertisement then: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb694016.aspx
