Problems with variations
I have a strange problem with the variations part. Duringcreation of a site (with 7 variations) a month ago I had an failure saying this: "An error occurred during page variation creation. A page already exists at the target location: [path to location]." I've come to learn that this happens if you edit default.aspx and publish it on the main variation before the SPTimerJob for the actual site variation copyhas finished. What happens is that the variations doesn't seem to be connected (if I stand on the main variation site and try to use the variation label menu, it can't "see" that the site is variated, no labels is showing), even though the site exist on the other variations. Is there any way to force a copy of the main variation to "reconnect" the variations? The thing is that under that actual site there are 28 other sites with variations that ARE connected as they should be, so I rther not delete the site... Everytime I edit default.aspx on the site and republish it I get the sam error...frustrating!
