Problems with deploying CRM 2011 updates with the OS deployment

I am learning to deploy windows 7 to our laptops and desktop on the fly so this may be a newbie question.

We are using SCCM 2012 R2 and I have benn putting together a task sequence to deploy the captured Win7 OS and install the needed applications that are required for the job the system is being built for. I have been able to install Office 2010, adobe products, Java, VPN, and other applications. My current problem is with installing the updates for CRM 2011 for Outlook, in particular Rollup 6 & 14. Both of these come as a .exe file, I first tried a script type install when building the application using the .exe file as the install program this failed. I next ran the file from a command line with the /extract flag and extracted the package to a local folder, copied the package to the SCCM server. In the extracted package there is a CrmUpdateWrapper.exe file, I created another script install that used the command "CrmUpdateWrapper.exe" /q /norestart" for the install program in the application, this failed also. Other application that was able to install had a .msi installed in the extracted package there is a .msp installed but neither the create application wizard or the manual process allow for selecting the .msp file

Can anyone point me in the right direction to get past this?

All help is appreciated

When you used that exact command line, then it's probably related to the extra quote (") in your command line. If not first try the command line on a device via PSEXEC (to run it with SYSTEM credentials). After that's successful use the working command line for ConfigMgr.
