Can you please let us know which Operating system are you using? You need to open IE with Run As "Administrator" option. For me I got the issue fixed with this. Even you may try out the same if it is relevant. Regards, Phani Note: Please mark the post as answered if it answers your question.

Are you able to browse to the Report Server from the SharePoint server? If so, this should only be a configuration issue. Try changing the SharePoint authentication to use Trusted not Windows Auth.If you are not using Kerberos in your environment you need to use Trusted in SharePoint, not Windows Authentication. You should only use Windows Authentication if you have Kerboros enabled throughout your environment. Regards, Steve

no I am not able to browse RS on the local system ==> Access denied 402.1. I don't want to switch the auth mode to trust, because my vs2010 development environment is working properly. when i switch to , i guess some security issues will be raising then on the build process !? The only solution at the moment is, to install a second SQL instance on the same machine with a dedicated RS-service....

Hi DADDELTANTE, From your first post, you encountered the error "Failed to establish connection with report server. Verify the server URL is correct or review ULS logs for more information. Product area: SQL Server Reporting Services, Category: Configuration Pages" when you configured Reporting Services SharePoint Integrated mode via SharePoint Administration Center. The error means the SQL Server Reporting Services(SSRS) Report Server is not configured to run with SharePoint Integrated mode or the Report Server is unreachable. So, please firstly make sure the Report Server catalog databases is configured to use SharePoint Integrated mode. Suppose we have configured the database in SharePoint Integrated mode, now we need to troubleshoot the connection issue. From your last post, you encountered the error 402.1. If I am correct, you are meaning 401.2(as far as I know, the 402 status code is not currently in use), right? If so, yes, as you mentioned, it should be a security issue. The parent code 401 means Access denied, and the 401.2 means logon failed. It is failed due to server configuration. Additionly, from your description, you are going to use Windows Authentication for the Integrated mode, so I assume the SSRS is configured to use Kerberos authentication. Going back to the conneciton issue, it may be due to the SSRS is configured to use Kerberos authentication, however, the Service Principal Name(SPN) is not registered correctly for the service account the SSRS is running under. In order to fix the issue, please follow these steps: Open the Reporting Service Configuration Management. Go to 'Service Account' tab, remember the account name. Logon the Domain Control with domain administrator. Register the SPN for the account we got from step2. We need to register the following two SPNs. SETSPN -A HTTP/VMT-MOSS:86 <service account> SETSPN -A HTTP/VMT-MOSS.domain.com:86 <service account> Now, make sure we are able to access the Report Server from all clients(e.g. the SharePoint server, the clients) with http://VMT-MOSS:86/ReportServer If we are able to connect to the Report Server, please re-configure the SharePoint Integrated mode via SharePoint Administration Center. Final, below is a checklist that include the general items we need to check when configure SharePoint Integrated mode: Use the correct version of the Reporting Services Add-in for SharePoint Integrated mode. The Reporting Services Add-in for SharePoint Integrated mode is installed in all SharePoint Web Front End(WFE)s. The WFE is installed in the Report Server machine. The Report Server catalog database is configured in SharePoint Integrated mode. If using Kerberos authentication, make sure the SPNs for the Report Server and the SharePoint sites are registered correctly. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask. Hi, The error 0x80090005 may be due to the Reporting Services service account is changed. To fix the issue, please restore the backup encryption key. Good Morning, I am receiving the same error as outlined initially in this thread. I'm using SQL Server 2008 R2 and SharePoint 2010. Report Server database is configured in SharePoint Integrated Mode and I can access the Web Service URL from the SQL/Reporting Service just fine. It displays what appears to be a directory of SharePoint sites. When I try to set Reporting Services Integration in SharePoint Central Admin I receive the following: Failed to establish connection with report server. Hi, I too am having the same problem as MrMetry. When browsing to the reportserver location from the local report server all is working well and I can see the list of associated SharePoint Web Apps. I am NOT able to browse to this location from ANY other machines though. Kerberos is working correctly and all SPN's are associated correctly too. Any help is troubleshooting this would be great. Hi Jin I think my issue is also related to Kerberos but can you please advice. I can browse the report server URL on the local server http://servernam:8080/reportserver (Report Server) but when i go to a different machine (remote server), the URL page failed to open is that because kerberos is not working?
