Problems with ProClarity 6.3

Good morning,
I have to solve some problems, I would be grateful if you could help me:

1 - needs to know how I can integrate ProClarity 6.3 with Microsoft Excel 2007. In previous versions of the tool available ProClarity Business Reporter For excel "in ProClarity 6.3 but this tool has disappeared. The export of hearings to excel not work for me because information that is exported as static and dynamic not accurate.


2 - ProClarity 6.3 when in a hearing set subtotals at the end you get an overview with all the subtotals. Is there any way to eliminate that summary?.


3 - ProClarity 6.3 Web standard when navigating some view appears the following error message:

"The maximum size of the message buffer (32K) has been exceeded."

Hi Xavier,

1: ProClarity 6.3 can only export to Excel. As you noted the Business Reporter for Excel does not work with ProClarity 6.3 or Excel 2007. The recommendation is to use Excel 2007s OLAP functionality which exceeds the Excel-based OLAP functionality of BRE.

2: Im not exactly sure what you mean by this can you be more specific, or maybe someone else knows what this is?

3. The message at the end of the log event ID #4 "The maximum size of the message buffer (32K) has been exceeded."simply means that the size of the entry is too large to be displayed in the details section of event viewer. Ive seen that appear with large complex views. Are there any problems with the views or the ProClarity software itself when these log entries appear?

With regards to point 1.

I am very happy that it links better but how can this be done for exisitng reports?

I have existing reports in Excel that previously linked via business reporter. Now both ProClarity & Excel have been updated what are the steps when opening up Excel (2007)to link back to ProClarity?

If going into Data >> Edit Links I see no way of linking to ProClarity, is this somewhere else?

Hello Darren,

Unfortunately there is no way to use your existing Business Reporter reports. You will have to recreate them from scratch in Office 2007. The following forum posting may help shed light on the issue:

Problem #2 is actually a simple fix that is available in both the Professional and Web Standard clients. The subtotal "overview"as you call it is a featurethat can be turned off using the Totals Options dialog. If you right-click on the grid in the Professional client, you will find the Totals Options menu under the Totals menu. In this dialog you will want to uncheck the first hierarchy in the Subtotals list and press OK. This will remove the subtotals overview.

For example, let's say I create a report that has Customers and Products on the Rows and I turn on Column Subtotals. ProClarity will generate the subtotals overview section at the bottom. If I then go into the Totals Options dialog and uncheck the Customers hierarchy and press OK, the subtotals overview is removed.

Even I see this error in event viewer for few of the ProClarity users:
