Since I updated way back when to Microsoft Remote Desktop (from the old Remote Desktop Client), I've had an annoying issue with vertical scrolling in most Microsoft applications using the trackpad on my MacBook Pro, as well as on a Mighty Mouse and on my old MacBook Air. The scrolling is very jittery and sometimes even scrolls a bit backwards (against the "flow" of the scroll).

Is anyone else experiencing this? Scrolling works totally fine in all Mac apps but is very difficult to use in Remote Desktop with MS Office apps or, for that matter, any other Microsoft applications such as Windows Explorer. (Oddly, scrolling in Firefox and other non-Microsoft apps seems to work just fine. And no, I'm not talking about horizontal scrolling which AFAIK there is no support for in Windows.) Thanks.

Hi,

Currently I cannot confirm if it is caused by the new version of Remote Desktop. From your description, it occurs on 2 Mac laptop with using mighty mouse or trackpad, which seems to be a common issue of the new version. However I still suggest to modify the trackpad a little in movement/scrolling to see if it will make any difference.

If anyone else has the same issue with new version of Microsofot Remote Desktop please just post in reply.

I have the same problem currently on Version 8.0.13 (Build 25377) of the Mac RDP client, and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2.

When scrolling in outlook inbox overview, with my magic mouse or touchpad, the scrolling is uncontrollable ie it scrolls over 20 lines per scroll movement, and with a lot of emails every day (over 200) it get annoying very fast.

Please let me know if there is a fix, or setting that would improve this.

I'm having the same issue -- Using my trackpad or the magic mouse makes scrolling a big issue in MS Remote Desktop. I'm using Version 8.0.15 (Build 25886). I need to scroll a lot for the vertical screen to show a slight change. Most times, the screen scrolls a lot more that I had intended it to scroll.
