Problems rendering InfoPath Form in Outlook

Hi everyone!

I hope that this is not a unique scenario and that someone has the answer!

So, I was thinking of using an InfoPath Web Form that is published to a Form Library in SharePoint Online to delivery a daily newsletter all of our staff.  We currently use a 3rd party app in Office 365 to do this, but the app is flaky, unsupported and does not always send out the daily email.  The daily email is to include new Announcements and upcoming Events and sign-up opportunities for staff.

I can get the form to send the email just fine.  No problems there.   The issue seems to be that the icon/image for each announcement in the email does not display unless you click on them individually.  Could I find a way to get the images from this secondary data source repeating table to store the images in the form (instead of using the URL to the image).  I think that somehow there needs to be a static view of this table.  Is the data connection to get the data for the Announcements repeating table being run for each email recipient?  I don't want that.  I just want to run the data connection when I generate the form before I send it out by email through the send email data connection.

This image shows how the form looks in SharePoint Online before I click submit (send email data connection):

Hi Chasquad- you could try using code as the following link explains. However, I really don't understand why you're using an InfoPath form for this. Why wouldn't you just create the email in Outlook and send it out?

Hi Cameron

Thank you so much for your reply and ideas.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but the article referenced is to get the image to show up as an image in the InfoPath browser-based form.  I can already do that (first screen shot).  But they don't show up in Outlook after the form is sent to users via email data connection.

I did not send the email from Outlook because either I don't know how, or it is not possible since the InfoPath from is in SharePoint Online as well as the other data that points to the Announcements list and Events list both stored in SharePoint Online.  Is there a way to do this through Outlook directly?

Thanks.
