I'm having issues with accessing my sharepoint site. we have a domain lets say sharepoint.domain.com this works 100% for logging into the main sharepoint site. I created a site /sites/management which 3 people have access to. When logging into the management website from the HOST machine it works 100% however when I try to login to the site via sharepoint.domain.com/sites/management I am unsuccessful in logging in as any of these 3 users. Is there any configuration I need to do in order to allow these users to log in via sharepoint.domain.com/sites/management? Thanks, Mike

Also - when I get to the login screen and a user logs in correctly I get 404, but when a user logs in unsucessfully it says Error: Access Denied (as expected)

This forum is accessibility issues. As defined by Microsoft "Accessibility" means making it possible for people with sight; hand coordination etc. problems (= the "physically challenged") to be able to use web sites. Your question is about Accessing sites. It is not the same thing. I'm moving this to Setup/Admin. Next time look at all the other posts in the forum before you post. You need to set up the Host Header, Alternate Access mapping and DNS entry.
