Problems deploying siteroles to another forest with siteserver machineaccount
Hello We have a fully working SCCM environment in Forest A, and have just now set up a two-way trust with Forest B, and we want to extend the SCCM services there. We want to have a server in forest B (we can call it "serverB") with the PXE servicepoint role and the distribution point role. The siteserver(serverA) machineaccount from forest A is a member of the "administrators" localgroup on serverB in forest B. The error is as follows: The SMS Site Component Manager could not access site system "\\serverB". The operating system reported error 2147943796: Logon Failure: The target account name is incorrect. I have also tried connecting from the siteserver to serverB using "psexec -s -i cmd" to be in nt authority\system context, then use a net use * \\serberB\admin$, which gives the same error "the target account name is incorrect". Have anyone seen this behaviour before? Is there anything I'm missing when it comes to deploying siteroles to other domains? Regards Ola

Read paragraph "Communications Across Forest Trusts Within a Configuration Manager Site." in http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb694003.aspx. Site systems in remote forests are only supported in native mode. Workaround: use a primary child site in the second forest.
