Problem with Windows 7 and davWWWRoot
One of our customers has a problem saving documents (word and excel) to a document library in SharePoint 2007. This seems to be only happening on Windows 7 workstations. It usually takes two tryes to open a document and when saving the document (and in fact doing Save As...) the following error occures. \\Server@SSL\DavWWWRoot\site\Library is not accessable. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. Mutual Authentication failed. The server's password is out of date at the domain controller. I cannot file browse to the location, \\Server@SSL\DavWWWRoot\site\Library. But I can however map a network drive and give this path, and see the all the files in this library. Any ideas? Best regards, Bjorn Moritz

Hi Bjorn, What is the version of your Windows 7? Try to perform the same action on another Windows 7 (make sure the version is 7600 or RTM)workstation, then what is result. Based on my research, you can try the following step first: 1. Stop the web client service 2. Reboot the workstation and then check the effect. In addition, you can refer to the following article to fix the issue: WebDAV with Windows 7, Vista, and XP http://www.bring2mind.net/Support/Forums/tabid/143/view/topic/postid/7501/forumid/24/Default.aspx Hope this is helpful to you. Looks like there might be something wrong with the SSL certificate. What we did was extend the web application and install a new certificate and this seems to have fixed the problem.Best regards, Bjorn Moritz
