Problem with SSRS 2008 and Windows 7
Hi all, I have the following problem. I have a server which has Windows 2003 Enterprise Server installed, and MSSQL Server 2008 R2 Trial. I have the report server assigned to port 8081. It all works fine when the client OS is Windows XP I can go to the server public IP and the login prompt opens and enter the credentials, and I can access the reports i.e. Username: some_IP\some_user Password: 12345. Now what happens is if the client OS is Windows 7 if I enter the same credentials it just keeps asking for them. and Login dialog box just keeps popping up. Can anyone help with this issue.

you need to run IE as "Administrator" - then use your standard userid/pass to login to ssrs

Hi edgarsanchez40 I have already tried that. What i have found strange is that While Windows 7 hooked to the same ISP as the on the server is hosted on can authenticate without problems, computers on ISP other than mine cannot authenticate. Any ideas anyone.

Hi Ardian, Please right-click on "Internet Explorer" and select "Run as administrator".
