Problem while upgrading from SQL Server 2008 SP1 to SQL Server 2008 R2. Getting "No Custom Security Extensions" Failed error...
Hi, I want to upgrade from SQL Server 2008 SP1 to SQL Server 2008 R2. While upgrading, operation failed with TWO upgrade rules. They are "No Custom Security Extensions" and "No Custom Authentication Extensions" as below. Because of these failures, it is not allowing me to upgrade. On checking in many forums and technet blogs, I could see that I need to delete Custom extensions from existing Rsreportserver.config and should reenter the custom extensions after upgrade. I am not much aware what is Custom extensions. Dont know what lines to be deleted from config. Please shed some light here. I have removed "Email Settings" from Report Services Configuration settings. Is this is a custom extension? Also let me know if any type of custom extensions.Regards, Suresh
