Hi Friends, I have created on custom template named called nil.stp, now i want to add these template to my website. i went to sharepoint site, site Action -> Site Setting -> Gallary -> Site template -> upload. and i have upload these template successfully. but while apply these template to my web-ste, i went to site action -> Site Setting -> Site Administrator -> Sites and Workspace -> Create ->. after filling all data and inserting url of the site that i have already created in default master page template. but when i click on create button it shows msg,"The Web site address "/first.aspx" is already in use. at Microsoft.SharePoint.Library.SPRequestInternalClass.CreateWeb(String bstrUrl, String bstrTitle, String bstrDescription, UInt32 nLCID, String bstrWebTemplate, Boolean bCreateUniqueWeb, Boolean bConvertIfThere, Guid& pgWebId, Guid& pgRootFolderId, Boolean bCreateSystemCatalogs) at Microsoft.SharePoint.Library.SPRequest.CreateWeb(String bstrUrl, String bstrTitle, String bstrDescription, UInt32 nLCID, String bstrWebTemplate, Boolean bCreateUniqueWeb, Boolean bConvertIfThere, Guid& pgWebId, Guid& pgRootFolderId, Boolean bCreateSystemCatalogs)" plz reply me with proper solutions.

Hi Nilesh,I am not sure if I understand your problem correctly but my assumpton is hat you tried to create a site from a template where there is an existing site... Please try using the same template creating a site using a different url...If I have made an incorrect assumption based on what I have read above please let me know, you can not overwrite a site tat has already been created by creating another one...Cheers,-IvanIvan Sanders My LinkedIn Profile, My Blog, @iasanders.
