In SSRS when deleting a group a (static) row group is left behind. This is causing performance and display problems. I've tried editing the XML code behind, but this causes VS to crash. Is there any way to delete a group without creating orphaned rows groups or is there a way to delete the (static) row group left behind?

Hi, we're using SQL2008 and we're seeing the same results whether we use Report Builder 3 or Business Intelligence Studio. Get sample here: http://mdelcambre.com/Stuff/Sample.zip You'll see that there is an extra static tablix member in there with no way to delete it.

Anything happening with this? The orphaned static rows are messing with Excel exports.
