I've a 64 bit SSRS 2008 R2 server. My goal is to provide user the capability to create a report against Access 2003. In order to do that I installed Office 2010 64 bit driver for MS Access from the following site: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=c06b8369-60dd-4b64-a44b-84b371ede16d. The driver got installed just fine, when I try a UDL, I do see the option: Microsoft Office 12.0 Access Database Engine OLE DB Provider. But when I try to create a Data Source in SSRS, I do not see that provider under OLEDB. Can anyone suggest what I should do? Thanks! GBM

Hi GBM, Since Business Intelligence Development Studio(BIDS) is a 32-bit application, it is not able to call a 64-bit provider. This is why we cannot see the "Microsoft Office 12.0 Access Database Engine OLE DB Provider" from the "OLE DB Provider" list. The suggestion is that, implementing a 32-bit environment in another machine, using the 32-bit Microsoft Access Database Engine(ACE) to design the report. After finishing the design, please deploy the reports to the 64-bit SQL Server Reporting Services(SSRS). In this SSRS server, please install 64-bit ACE. This should work around the issue. For testing purpose, there is another workaround mentioned in the following article.
