Problem to import a NIC drivers in SCCM 2007
Hi I´m trying to import NIC driver in SCCM 2007 R2 SP. I get this error message: E1K6232.INF - The selected driver is not applicable to any supported platforms. I have installed this hotfix SCCM2007-SP2-KB978754-X86-ENU.msi but I still have the same problem. The driver I’m trying to import is intel 82577LM for HP Elitebook. Please help!

Hi, Install this hotfix on your SCCM site server and import NIC drivers again: An .inf file cannot be validated when an application uses the "SetupVerifyInfFile" function in Windows Vista and in Windows Server 2008 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/979492/en-usPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. I had the same problem with an Intel 82579LM network card in a Dell Latitude E6520. The problem is caused by the fact that the driver is a windows 7 ONLY driver The update is not directly available from microsoft, but must be requested, because it's only applicable in this very specific case. Since I didn't want to wait, I found it on http://www.mediafire.com/?7zpk1h0mx7cttpx 1. reboot your server 2. make sure your antivirus doesn't block it 3. verify that no-one is deploying machines 4. install the update 5. reboot your server now you can import the windows7 only drivers I only have 1 primary site on server 2008 sp2 no R2 32-bit, sccm 2007 SP2 with sql2005 and wds all on the same dual quadcore machine, so you may need to apply the hotfix (or distribute the package that u can create during the setup of the hotfix)
