Previewing .xlsm files
Is there yet any way to preview xlsm files

I'm not sure exactly what you mean but try the following:-

1. In a .xlsm file hit the Print Preview button.

2. (a) In a .xlsm file:-

View tab

Macros group

Click on the drop down arrow beneath:-

Macros

 - then click on:-

View Macros

The window called:-

Macro

 - should open.

2. (b) In the window called:-

Macro

 - click on the macro you wish to, "preview" so that it becomes highlighted then hit:-

Edit

A Microsoft Visual Basic window should now open showing you the contents of the selected macro.

Do either of the above give you what you want?

Thanks, but I meant how t preview files when in basic file manger before clicking to open a file.

You can only get a "preview" when you saved a thumbnail before:

- Open an Excel file
- File\SaveAs and choose a (the same) location
- Check the "Save Thumbnail" check box
- Click Save

After that you can see the thumbnail within the Windows Explorer and/or in the Open dialog when change the view to Icons.

The only other way is to use an Excel viewer:
