Prevent Internet Access not working correctly
Hello everyone, I am trying to prevent internet access to but a few websites on some computers but am struggling to do so. all internet is still accessable even with prevent internet access toggled everything else is working beautifully. I am working off Windows XP home SP2, IE8 and windows steady state 2.5. I do have a proxy server allready in place but when i followed these steps from a similar post it did not fix the problem. Please let me know if there is a solution in or ourside of steady state to block all but a few websites. (steps already taken) 1. To avoid confusion, please clear the “Prevent Internet access (except Web sites below)” option in SteadyState first. 2. Click Start and click Run. 3. Type “inetcpl.cpl” in the open box, and then press Enter. 4. Select the Connections tab, click LAN Settings. 5. Uncheck “Automatically detect settings”, select “Use a proxy server for your LAN. Input NoInternetAccess to the Address box, 80 to the port box. 6. Click Advanced, select “Use the same proxy server for all protocols” 7. Type some websites in the Exceptions space. Click OK. 8. Check if websites can be accessed

Hi, Since Windows SteadyState has stopped update before IE 8 exist, some function will not fully applied for IE 8. I suggest to downgrade IE 7 or IE 6 for test. Thank you for your understanding.
