Prerequisites for Secondary Site in SCCM 2007 R2?
Hi… My scenary is the follow: System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2 in Mixed Mode Windows 2008 R2, I need to know what are the prerequisites for installing a secondary site, investigate and find that these are the prerequisites: Remote Differential Compression for site server and branch distribution point computers Internet Information Services (IIS) Configure WebDAV to support management points and distribution points that are enabled for "Allow clients to transfer content from this distribution point using BITS, HTTP, and HTTPS" Install Internet Information Services (IIS) on Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Computers Install WebDAV for IIS 7.0 Enable WebDAV and create an Authoring Rule Configure requestFiltering for IIS on distribution points These are all the prerequisites??? Yes, you must follow the "Site setup for 2008 computers" since it is a site system. If you plan to also make it a DP then you need to configure the requestFiltering and specific WebDav setting for a DP. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc431377.aspx Once that is done then you can install the ConfigMgr R2 component to the server. AFter that wait a bit and then close and reopen your console.
