Hi…
My scenary is the follow: System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2 in Mixed Mode Windows 2008 R2, I need to know what are the prerequisites for installing a secondary site, investigate
and find that these are the prerequisites:
Remote Differential Compression for site server and branch distribution point computers
Internet Information Services (IIS)
Configure WebDAV to support management points and distribution points that are enabled for "Allow clients to transfer
content from this distribution point using BITS, HTTP, and HTTPS"
Install Internet Information Services (IIS) on Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Computers
Install WebDAV for IIS 7.0
Enable WebDAV and create an Authoring Rule
Configure requestFiltering for IIS on distribution points
These are all the prerequisites???
I hope your comments…

Yes, you must follow the "Site setup for 2008 computers" since it is a site system. If you plan to also make it a DP then you need to configure the requestFiltering and specific WebDav setting for a DP.

Once that is done then you can install the ConfigMgr R2 component to the server. AFter that wait a bit and then close and reopen your console. You should see it now say R2 Installed:Yes and you should also have 3 tabs in the Distribution Settings
(General, Multicast, Streaming for App-v)
