What exactly you have done after which you are seeing this error? You could detach the primary child from the central site (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb632662(TechNet.10).aspx) and delete all jobs from the parent to the child site and vice versa (using preinst /deljob on both sites). Then attach it again.
