Pre-Staged Content across Multiple Forests failing

So I have an operational requirement to be able to Pre-stage content in SCCM due to many sites having low bandwidth and high latency.

I have setup my DP via the normal Wizard process in SCCM and have confirmed that communication between the two is valid by distributing content in the normal fashion. I have then setup the DP to be Pre-Staged and created a package for Pre-Staging. I have followed the correct procedure of using the extractcontent.exe with a batch file to execute under administrator privileges as instructed and I get the follow errors reported back in the Prestaged.log

Out of 1 certs, there is none with valid keys
Out of 1 certs, there is none with valid keys
Error Reading site settings when needed to extract content from prestaged file
ArchiveFile::InitSiteSettings Failed; 0x8009204
ArchiveFile::ExtractContent Failed; 0x8009204

Now I have Googled the above to death and cant find anything that's relevant to what I'm trying to do. I have re-built the DP using both HTTP and HTTPS (with certs) and get the same result.
I have also created a DP in the same forest as the main server and used the same prestaged content file and this works totally as expected. so there is nothing wrong with the file and commands I'm using to completed the Pre-Stage process.

if anyone could shed any light on what I'm either doing wrong or forgotten to do, it would be so very much appreciated.

yours in hope!

Hi,

Is the DP healthy? Is there any error in the logs on the DP?

Hi There,

No errors were found in the logs you mentioned.

I have recreated the DP many times, I have also distributed content in the normal ways to it, to make sure the communications and trust are working correctly. it seems to be only related to Pre-Staging of content across Forests.

Many thanks

Duncan
