Power View report is not valid or supported by this version of Power View, Native to integrated mode
Hello All, I have an issue, where my perfectly working Power view (SSRS 2012, Sharepoint 2010) was working fine. after that i did many things for another issue, now what has happend is i can not preview the existing Power view reports, it says "This Power View report is not valid or supported by this version of Power View. It may have been saved in a newer version of Power View. If so, you may be able to open it in a newer version of Power View." i havent install any thing older version, but i am not sure what i have done between those days. Also when i try to create new power view report it does not list any fields in the field list box. Also note when i check my Reporting service is configured in Native mode, (I am not sure if this is related to power view issue) but when i try to change it to integration mode, i am not able to do it. in Reporting service configuration wizard, there is fix Native mode lable instead of radio button to change to integration mode. Even when i try to reinstall the reporting service, the integration mode radio button is disabled, forcing me to install in native mode. Please help me to make the power view work agian and also how to change the SSRS Native mode to integrated mode. Thanks you all for you interest to help me. Meenxip

Hi Meenxip, From your description, Power View report is not valid for the reason that you made some changes on your machine, right? Since you are not sure what you have done on your product environment, its hard to say the real reason that causes this issue. One suggestion for you is re-build the product the environment. For more information about Deployment Checklist: Reporting Services, Power View, and PowerPivot for SharePoint, please see: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh231687.aspx For how to change the SSRS Native mode to integrated mode: Configuration of Reporting Services SharePoint mode is now completely supported through SharePoint Central Administration using management pages for Reporting Services service applications or using Reporting Services SharePoint mode PowerShell cmdlets. Reporting Services Configuration Manager no longer supports Reporting Services SharePoint mode. Configuration of SharePoint mode is completed using SharePoint Central Administration. This is a big change in Reporting Services 2012, for detail information please see: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms170438.aspx Hope this helps. Regards, Charlie Liao

Hello Charlie, Thank you for the support. When i try to install reporting service again, it gives me object reference error for Reporting services for SharePoint failed. I have configured the reporting service in SharePoint central administration, but i am not sure what is the issue. The version issue at power view report it is giving, it seems the error message is not relevant since there is no different versions available for Power view SSRS 2012. As far as re-building my product environment, i want the least to reinstall, so what you think which product i should first try to reinstall? as SSRS did not succeed when i try to reinstall. DO you think SharePoint should be reinstall? which i doubt. Or you suggest i should reinstall every thing starting from my Sharepoint to SQL server. Again thanks for the help Meenxip
