New to PowerBI. I'm looking at this as a possible KPI option for a customer. Have seen the MYOB demo video (link below) and wondering where I can find instructions to set this up?

Also where is the best place to learn the basics of PowerBI and connecting to data sources?

Hi Shane,

The main components of PowerBI are PowerPivot, PowerView, PowerMap and PowerQuery.

I recommend the following book which covers PowerPivot, PowerView, etc.

Microsoft Excel 2013 Building Data Models with PowerPivot (Business Skills)

The following book covers PowerQuery, the data load and transformation component of Power BI.

Power Query for Power BI and Excel

I recommend the following tutorial for KPIs; -

Create a Measure and KPI (Tutorial)

The main language for Power BI is DAX (Data Analysis eXpressions) so I also recommend having the following in your faviourites; -

Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) Reference
