Potientially Simple Question; - How do I display SSIS events within SQL Profiler?
Hi, How do I display SSIS events within SQL Profiler? I have read the link;- http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms170736(v=sql.90).aspx Which says; - 'Profiling of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Integration Services (SSIS). SQL Server Profiler can now display events raised by SSIS. ' This could potientially be very useful for me. However it's not obvious to me which events I should be selecting when creating an SQL profiler trace. I am currently using SQL Server 2008 R2. Thanks in advance, Kieran. Thanks Jamie, I think you might be helping preventing me from searching for something which doesn't exist, so I believe the text - 'Profiling of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Integration Services (SSIS). SQL Server Profiler can now display events raised by SSIS. ' in link http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms170736(v=sql.90).aspx is referring to BIDS Menu->SSIS->Logging. That is to say within an SSIS package within BIDs; - 1) Click on menu "SSIS". 2) Click on menu item "Logging". 3) Select provider type "SSIS log provider for SQL Server Profiler", etc.If you have found any of my posts helpful then please vote them as helpful.
