Post SP4 deployment blues - SQL Reporting Services 2005
Based on MS requirement that we birng the SP lvel up to date , we deployed SP4 on SQL 2005 Enterprise Edition 64 bit hosted on a Win 2003 Std. Edition SP2 Server. Ever since , we keep getting this error randomly. How to remedy this . Is there a settign that we need to tweak ? DVP Rao

Hello, Since we cannot get the detail information from the error message, we can provide some general guess to see whether it can solve this kind of issue. One possible cause is that the IIS component was installed after Windows 2003 SP2 had been installed. If so, the component of IIS will be RTM version instead of the latest SP2 version. Therefore, the version of component does not match the OS version, and leads the issue similar to the above. In order to solve this kind of issue, please re-install the Windows 2003 SP2 again to update the IIS component. I hope my suggestion is helpful to you. WE ahve got it verified ... all DLLs look fine. We had re-installed sp2 for windows 2003 upon MSFT recommendation. What details do you need ? I will post them here. Thanks for your help. DVP Rao
