Possible to Locking a user's profile from Batch, VBS or WMI?
Hi All, I have a large deployment of Laptops that we maintain using Sysprep and imaging. Part of our requirement is to also use Steady State to keep the user community from making changes to the laptop. since there are known issues with Syspreping a system that has a locked user profile, We wait until the image is deployed to lock the profile. Our "post-image" process has been entirely scripted aside from launching Steady State and locking the shared user profile in question. Is there a way to run steady state from a script to automatedly lock a user profile? Thanks a bunch.

Hi, as I know, we can only use WMI to centralize Windows Disk Protection: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/938335 Meanwhile, I didn't see any batch file or VBS to turn on lock user function in Windows SteadyState forum.Sean Zhu - MSFT

Awe - Too bad. I guess I could envoke a custom AutoHotKey script that I define before hand to do the locking. Less elegant solution though.
