Portal password reset - Non domain joined machine with domain user login on portal
Hy.Is it possible to use FIM Portal Password reset using machine that is not joined to domain, but with domain user login in portal? So on branch location we have computers that are not joined to domain, but there are working some users that have domain account and already are loging in to some applications (exchange etc..) using that domain account. That computers are in MPLS VPN. So scenario is, normal user (non domain) logins to computer, then enters http://fimportaladdress in IE, login screen pops up in IE asking user to enter his domain account, user enters domain account and sees FIM Password portal where he enters his domain username and domain? So is that kind of scenario in any way possible?Thnx

no, the portal merely starts an activeX which invoke the dll locally, as if u are resetting from the logon screen machine needs to be domain joined. we are investigating that. meanwhile, u can try different approaches like using TS gateway to expose a logon screen of a domain joined machine with the client installed... or maybe Direct Access, etc
