Portal: SSPR registration wizard language
I'm not sure wheter it's better opening a new question, or adding it to an existing one. But here I go, I got a question very similiar to: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ilm2/thread/c6a4b483-4c11-4d17-ad98-0b0a3c27f906 I understand the language of the portal is dependant on the regional settings of the user. This seems to work fine for both nl-BE and fr-BE, however when a user clicks "register for password reset" on the portal homepage, the wizard (password reset extensions) is started in english. So whilst it seems that the Portal detects nl-BE as dutch, the password reset registration wizard will be in english. If I add nl-NL to the languages in IE, it works as expected. The same goes for french: fr-BE is not ok for the wizard, fr-FR will work. Is there any way to let the password extenions map differently? I would like them to accept nl-BE as dutch (like nl-NL) and fr-BE as french (like fr-FR). I know I could add this to the IE languages by GPO, but then I'll have to mainting groups and seperate policies for each language. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Thomas http://setspn.blogspot.com

We (Belgium) as a small country are being discriminated!... ;) But indeed the FIM Installation guide mentions: In this release of FIM 2010, nine additional languages are offered: Chinese (Simplified) Chinese (Traditional) Dutch (Netherlands) French (France) German (Germany) Italian (Italy) Japanese (Japan) Portuguese (Portugal) Spanish (Spain) It's weird that the other components behave so well even with nl-BE set. Especially the mspwdregistration -all. But I guess that one follows the "display" language, which is "dutch". Even the FIM Portal is displayed in dutch with nl-BE set. Odd... Thanks for the feedback.http://setspn.blogspot.com
