PolicyAgent struck

Hi,

I have seen rarely where the Policy download to the client gets struck and there would not be any processing happening on the client. I have checked the policyagent.log and see the following. Any other area to check?

Have you already tried restarting the SMS Agent Host service?

Did you initiate multiple machine policy refreshes in a short amount of time?

So, when does this happen? Policy processing is not an on-going, continuous activity. If you initiate a simple machine policy refresh, does the policyagent.log show activity?

I did a Machine & Policy evaluation cycle from the action tab on the client only once. I did wait for some time (more than 15 minutes) but nothing happened. On the Monitoring, I saw that the application which was assigned the status was Check Passed/active.

Since no one has answer this post, I recommend opening  a support case with Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) as they can work with you to solve this problem.
