Personalized Pages
I have ran into some issues with some third party addons to Sharepoint and Personalized Pages. It appears somehow when users hit a page with this third-party webpart activated - they are automatically "personalized". Later on, when I make changes, the users never see the changes.... I know how to modify the aspx page to remove the personalized option - as well as via central admin. That can be done, but how would I get everyone back to the "Shared" version programatically? Bear in mind, I am talking about a "Personalized" page and not a "Ghosted" page. stsadmn? Power Shell? Thanks!

Hi, As you have mentioned you are facing this issue after adding the webpart. Hence I would suggest you to remove this webpart by going into webpart maintenance page. Do let me know if I have understood your requirement properly Thanks, Rahul Rashu

I understand what you are saying... And yes, it COULD be that I am faced with this issue with the install of a webpart. However... This does not change the fact that this feature confuses my user's experience with SharePoint. My users do not realize the significance of personalizing a page view vs. keeping it in the shared view. Therefore as a whole, I am looking to revert anyone who has a personalized view back to the shared view in mass. Regardless if the issue is caused by a webpart or not. BTW, how did that answer the question?

Moderators do that a lot. Cory, a quick question for you. Thus far, we're looking at hypotheticals with no name given to the third party product. Can you give us an indication of what it is? A Codeplex part, a commercial offering, something from a Business Partner. Knowing what it is allows us some insight into how the solution is composed and accordingly should let us provide some ideas for you. Can you also advise of the pages. Are they site homepages, or list/library view pages etc?Steven Andrews | SharePoint Professional | http://www.twitter.com/backpackerd00d | https://baron72.wordpress.com/
